A Stunning Deck Transformation: From Worn-Out to Wow!

We recently undertook a deck renovation project that we’re excited to share with you. The transformation is nothing short of amazing, and we’re proud of the results we achieved.

The Old Deck

The project started with an old, worn-out deck that had seen better days. It was functional but lacked the aesthetic appeal and durability that the homeowner desired. The wood was weathered and chipped, the railing was loose, and the overall structure was not as sturdy as it should be.

The Transformation Process

Our first step was to remove the old deck completely. This allowed us to start fresh and ensure that the new deck was built on a solid foundation. We replaced the old framing with pressure-treated 2 x 6 and 8s. This type of wood is treated to resist decay and termites, making it an excellent choice for outdoor structures like decks.

The New Deck

For the deck surface, we used Trex decking material. Trex is a composite material that combines the beauty of wood with the durability and low maintenance of plastic. It’s resistant to fading, staining, scratching, and mold, and it won’t rot, crack, or warp like wood can.

We also installed a new handrail made of powder coated iron for a seamless look. To complement the Trex decking, we added a powder-coated iron stair railing. Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. It creates a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint, making it a great choice for outdoor use.

The result is a beautiful, durable, and low-maintenance deck that the homeowner can enjoy for many years to come.

This project was a great example of how a deck renovation can transform an outdoor space. We’re proud of the work we did and are excited to help more homeowners make their deck dreams come true.
